What exactly is "The Katrina CD Project" doing?
We are independent and established artists calling ourselves, "Recording Artists for Hope" who each possess large fan bases and extensive press exposure. Together we have gathered in this time of emergency to raise money for organizations such as American Red Cross and Habitat for Humanity. We have used our very best songs and/or newest singles to create, "The Katrina CD."

How much do you plan on selling each CD for?
We plan on selling each CD for no more than $10.00 retail. We are doing this so others will feel as if they are able to afford and support our cause ... while also receiving the healing that truly inspiring music can bring!

How many CDs do you plan on duplicating?
We plan on releasing as many CDs as the public is willing to buy!

How will people find and buy the CD?
We have an extensive website already built online at www.KatrinaCD.com which offers two minute music clips of each song and information on the release of the forthcoming "Katrina CD Vol. 1." We plan to have our Internet distribution through music retailer TheOrchard.com so that our music might be available in every major online retail store. Currently we are maintaining a strong Internet presence and expect that a majority of our sales will occur online, however, we want those who do not have immediate access to the Internet to be able to buy our CD in stores. • Broadway star, Billy Porter (Had hit song in movie, "First Wives Club" and starred in "Broken Hearts Club"
• Jenna Drey - Billboard Top 10 Charting Dance Artist
• Popular touring duo, Jason and deMarco releasing their first dance single, "Just in Time"
• Grammy winning, Dove Winning and Multiple Award Winning Independents
• Artists with large followings, whose collective/associative CD sales are way into the millions

What we will offer to those (companies) who support our CD project with contributions?
Your logo will be placed on the front page of our website (in our sponsors section to the right of the webpage table) in appreciation for your gracious support.

How this will work?
After we have had the initial CD amount duplicated, we will hold over a portion earned from each CD sold so that future duplication and administration costs can be taken care of. We only plan on reduplicating on an "as needed basis" so that we can gather as much money for those in need as soon as possible. Once it is decided that it is time for us to conclude the project, incoming sales and monies left will be (of course) given to the cause.
